Timber Lodge #8

We arrived early and sat in the car until check in time. However at 255 I received a text from Ryan with check in instructions. At 258 we attempted to enter our cabin with the door code. It didn’t work so I texted Ryan. He called immediately and his response was “ do you not know why the code won’t work” before I could even answer he said it’s not 3 and we go by the book. He was rude and condescending. The air conditioner put out very little air and each time it would cycle to come on it sounded like a jet engine was about to take off. The pillows on the bed were what I would expect to find in a hospital. They were plastic and every time you moved it crinkled. It was hot and miserable in the room. Ryan was rude and it was just not a pleasant experience.

It was quaint and charming. Bathroom led to close encounters.

Cozy, pet friendly cabin, tucked away in a nice section near Manitou and Garden of the Gods. Shared cabins could use more sound dampening, felt like we could hear everything the neighbor was doing and likely they could as well.

After renting both sides of a twin cabin around the Christmas holiday, my family and I definitely enjoyed the stay! The cabins themselves were clean and cozy, including all of the appliances and supplies needed for cooking and eating. Whenever we had a question, the Lodge Manager, Ryan, was accessible. We were able to rest and relax peacefully, as the premises are very quiet through the evening and early morning. The Lodge is close to all of the popular Springs attractions, including the Garden of the Gods and the Zoo, and to Manitou Springs. We'll definitely return!
